The Scenic Places in Edo 江戸名所図会, Edo Meisho Zue was a collaborative project issued in the late Edo to early Meiji period, around 1862–1864. Designer: Utagawa Hiroshige III 1842–1894, sometimes working with other artists of the Utagawa school such as Kuniaki II (also known as Kunisada II, 1823–1880. Publisher: Several publishers were involved, depending on the sheet. The prints depict famous landscapes and urban views of Edo Tokyo, very much in the tradition of Hiroshige I’s earlier meisho (famous place) series, but with contemporary Edo/early Meiji references. Date c. 1862–1864 late Edo, right before the Meiji Restoration in 1868.
